On 4th of March I have became an Australian citizen. The ceremony was at the Mosman Art Gallery and there were approximately another 50 people there with me to become a citizen. It was a simple but nice and emotional ceremony, we all did our pledge to the Australia’s values.
I also have applied for the passport. I have taken some pictures to share with you.

Gabi and I with the Australian flag at the citizenship ceremony.

At home with my new Australian Passport
At the ceremony I had the pleasure of having my wife Gabi and my neighbours and friends Peter and Helen, it was a wonderful evening. After the ceremony we went to the New Orleans Cafe in Crows Nest for dinner.
I am now the new Aussie on the block!

Hey Cool! I don’t even have an Australian passport yet!
Never travelled over large amounts of water either. Congratulations again Antonio!
Hi there! Actually I was looking for an australian’s flag wallpaper but I found your blog, practically I am in the process to migrate to Australia, a few days earlier I got my letter from ACS and I need to pass the IELTS and finally apply for the 175 visa. I just wanted to let you know that people like you are the epitome of other’s people’s dreams and thanks for sharing some slices of your life in public. Reading for parts ( the english ones ) make me think in someday I will blogging from that nation as I you do. Keep on the good track! I am your age and still at the 3rd world, hoping next year be in yours…

sorry was meant to ask..how long did it take from applying for citizenship to attending your ceremony?? thanks!
Hi Philip,
I cant really remember but I believe it took me 7 months from applying to the ceremony. But my wife took only 3 months. So I guess it depends on how busy they are with the ceremonies.
Cheers,
Antonio
